I have not yet ventured into the Philly cheesesteak establishment depicted below. Experience tells me that the odds are very long indeed that I will taste anything that reminds me of Pat’s (or even Geno’s . . . but I am very much on the Pat’s side of that long-running (ahem) beef). At the same time, though, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any locale outside the English-speaking world even pretend to offer Philly cheesesteaks for sale. So a part of me feels that I will have to try my luck at some point, even if I am sure that I will be disappointed . . .
