This time tomorrow, I’ll be somewhere over the Atlantic headed back to Minneapolis after almost seven months on the European side of the Atlantic. So, sadly, this will be the end of this extended series. The nice folks at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien were kind enough to share some kind words of farewell on Facebook and LinkedIn (I’m not crying; you’re crying . . . okay, okay. I’m crying too.).
So here are a few final(?) updates to the data dump from two weeks ago, and one last mini-dump of Vienna images . . . including a selfie in front of the Fulbright Austria offices to bookend my first Vienna post last December. It’s been fabulous, start to finish, and it’s gone by much too fast. I will be back. Soon. Promise.
Limiting myself to just those data points that have changed in the past two weeks:
- 86 – New (to me) beers tried
- 64 – Postcards written
- 64 – Postcards sent
- 7 – Schnitzels eaten
- 6 – Times people have mistaken me for something other than US-ian [English(x3), Canadian, Irish, and “White European”]
- 4 – Beer bar friends (fellow customers) made
