Salzburg – Week 18 bonus photo (mega-)dump

Sunday was a very tiny photo dump but, as promised, a much bigger dump was on its way. And now its here. And there are likely to be still more photos before Week 19 is done with. Of special note in this batch:

  • Mozart’s birthplace is located above a chain supermarket. A slightly upscale chain supermarket, but a chain supermarket nonetheless.
  • The Communist Party community center is an active thing — that’s not signage leftover from some moment in that building’s ancient past — and the jazz club in the basement was a lovely spot to spend part of my Tuesday evening. (Hat tip to fellow Fulbright-Austrian (Fulbrighter-Austria?) Birger Vanwesembeeck for leading me there.)
  • I assume that the Institute for Business and Asset Consultancy is nowhere near as much fun as a jazz club in a radical leftist community center . . . but I have to give them props for a striking logo/mural. (And, potentially, for not even existing. Google Maps doesn’t return any hits for the Institute’s name, and the building in question appears to be a roof inspector.)
